I’m not sure why this affirmation is making the rounds these days. Sure, we all want our children to be happy and healthy. What parent wouldn’t want this?
But most of us don’t have to think about it consciously. It’s something we naturally want. We don’t normally feel the need to include it in any affirmation ritual we go through each day. Saying “My child is happy and healthy” and putting it on repeat mode does not make it so.
Interestingly, from what I gather, most of the folks repeating this affirmation happen to be social liberals, which is kind of odd, since they are the ones most likely to have an abortion. A dead child is not a happy and healthy child.
Pro tip: If you want happy and healthy children, at least give birth to them first.
